Soccer photos

Travis is playing soccer through Ginger sport. He's in the youngest age group, (2-3 yr olds) and they don't play soccer as much as they really just run around, kick a ball every now and then, play with the cones, kick balls at coach Dean and run around. But he gets the kids to focus on each little game, even for a few seconds, and they seem to have a lot of fun. It's like unstructured structure, if that makes sense. Either way it is so cute to see him out there and he's really taken a liking to Coach Dean who he calls Cuch Deeeeeeean. And soccer is calls ocsher, lol. I highly recommend the program. He plays once a week for 30 minute sessions. We sit on the sidelines and it's good to see Travis listening to someone else. Brag moment: Coach Dean said Travis was his star athlete!

Holds the ball like a footy, making his dad proud

Footy or soccer?

Ahhh they are so cute

ha ha ha :)

I want to play too

Tackles with dad will due until Jet can run around too!

Here's a link to the Ginger Sport website in case anyone wants to check it out or sign their kids up too. We do the 4pm on Wednesdays at Blair state school in Ipswich

At the Drive In

Saturday night we went to the Tivoli Drive In. They run it for free, it's put on by the church in the area. So free movies, just need to buy any food and snacks, and of course you do, hello popcorn! We had a great time. We took Travis to his first drive in movie in the back of the Explorer when he was only 2 months old, so it was about time we took Jett. We piled the back of the truck with blankets and pillows and it was so comfy, all four of us in there together. The boys were super hyper at first, as you would be. We saw Journey 2:mysterious island. Once the giant lizard came out and the action started, Travis was all "oooooohhhhh" and "OH NO" and "wooooooow". Even little Jett was into it, until he passed out. Love the drive in, we will definitely be going back! Reminded me so much of being a kid, especially all the times Mel's family took me with them and my mom took us. Oh and Travis had popcorn for the first time, and was packing it away like he was never going to be aloud to eat again, lol.

Setting up!

Ready for the movie!

I want to ride home with my blanket on my head. duh

Then we got home, the boys passed on in the car on the way, we put them to bed, and enjoyed red wine by our fire.

I must have had a bit too much wine, because I thought I was being very artistic and taking shots of the lights behind the ferns.......

Day on Papa's boat

We spent Saturday on Wayne's Dad's boat. We drove down to Jacob's well and took off from there. We went to a place, properly named, slippery sands, which had as you can guess big slopes of slippery sand into the water. There's no photos from that as Travis was pulling a 'nudy rudy' and therefore they are not appropriate for posting. For the geographers we were near or in (?) Moreton bay, near the top tip of south Stradbroke Island, I think, I really am not 100% on this, ha ha,
It was a great day, a great way to spend a winter's day, sun, water, fishing and boating. Australian winters; gotta love em.

the boat

playing in the water at slippery sands, mostly eating the sand

trying to get some winter sun on this ghost body

would have been a great photo if my finger wasn't in the shot

a halo of sun.....

playing on the boat, absolutely not shy at all

Fishing! finally using his Christmas present :) Best present ever I might add

when on a boat, it is very important to take lots of photos of yourself

Caught a fish! Swear it was much bigger, just the angle and lens and shutter.....distortion...

Me too! woo hoo

We're on a BOAT!

We only drove past this, but we NEED to go there next time!

Falling asleep on the boat ride home

 awwwww

Huge pelicans just hanging out, or hanging oot, depending on your accent.

a little bit of instagram collage love

Such a fun day, thanks Dadio-in law for the great day! Travis didn't want to leave the boat, but we told him the boat was tired and needed a nap, and then he talked about that the whole drive home and most of the evening. "mommy, papa boat nap, uh mmmm"
