Agnes Waters and 1770 for Sarah's 30th

At the end of September and beginning of October we went up to a small town called Agnes Water. It is about a 7 hour drive north of us, on the coast, it's a few hours north of Bundaberg. To get there we drove in land, saw a lot of trees, and a lot of gnarly rugged Australian land, even broke down for a bit, but had a good trip. On the way home we went more the coast way, did a bunch of 4 wheel driving and took many scenic routes, (on purpose).
It was an awesome week. Sarah and Shane found a big 2 story house, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and a huge deck. It was a great set up. The kids had a blast. With all the family and friends around, Wayne and I even got a chance to run out to the pub on our own in the middle of the day.
We took our truck 4 wheel driving for the first time, drove out on the beach, the boys would fall asleep somehow with all the bumping and bouncing the truck was doing on the road and dunes. I got to taste oysters straight off the rock, we saw a massive Canadian eating snake (who luckily kept moving on). We went to some amazing hidden beaches, ate great food, and had a lot of fun. It was a great week away for sure, one we have to do again! I smell a tradition coming on......
And here's some photos from the week:
